AFL Wheelchair is back

It's been fabulous to see the Robert Rose Foundation Victorian Wheelchair Football League (VWFL) back in action over the past two Sundays featuring teams representing Richmond, Collingwood, St Kilda, Essendon and Hawthorn.

Disability Sport & Recreation have worked closely with AFL Victoria behind the scenes for this year’s competition that for the first time features a classification system for all athletes, similar to that used in other sports like wheelchair basketball and wheelchair rugby.

The finals for the reduced three-week Victorian AFL Wheelchair Carnival will be held this Sunday 13 December at Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre.

Spectators aren’t allowed but you can watch the games via the VWFL Facebook livestream.
