The NDIA is contacting NDIS participants who live in those public housing areas in Victoria that are under restrictions.
They are working with the Victorian government to ensure that essential services can continue to be delivered to NDIS participants living in public housing under restrictions.
They share data with the states and territories as part of the emergency management provisions when a state of emergency has been declared.
This information is shared to protect the health and safety of participants as the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation evolves.
The Victorian Government is responsible for managing this public health emergency. For further information, please visit the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services .
The Victorian Government is providing food and supplies, access to health care, family and mental health support, as well as other necessary supports.
Support will be provided on site by a dedicated community engagement and support team, which will work with health professionals, translators, community organisations and leaders, cultural support groups and police to provide support.
Residents can receive support by calling 1800 961 054. If you need a translator, first call 131 450. Both services are 24/7.
The NDIA will continue to work with the Victorian Government to ensure participants can continue to access essential NDIS funded supports during coronavirus (COVID-19) restrictions.
